Books

The Shinto religion does not have a specific book in which they base their teachings from. Like Catholics and Christians have to Bible to refer too. Shintoism does have other books though that are considered sacred such as Kojiki, and Nihongi, or “Nihon Shoki” which are in fact old Japanese chronicles of sorts. Because Shintoism basis their beliefs on ancient Japanese gods and goddesses, they often refer to other books and records of such things.
